Insured Shipping

Receive replacement or refund for lost, stolen, or damaged shipments.

Protect your shipment

Protect your shipment with insured shipping through The Bike Shop and receive replacement or refund for lost, stolen, or damaged items. 

If you choose to not insure your package, there is no coverage for lost, stolen, or damaged shipments.

All insured packages will need a signature upon delivery.

The cost to insure your package is:

  •  $5 for orders under $300
  •  1.5% of the value of the order, before taxes, on orders over $300.01

How to insure your shipment

During the checkout process, under the shipping section, simply select "Insured Standard Ground" as your shipping method selection.

Damaged Items

If your package or items received has been damaged, please fill out our Damaged Items report to receive a refund or replacement for your items.

Claims must be reported within 48 hours of receiving your package.

Lost Items

Please report your lost shipment immediately to The Bike Shop in order to get a report with the courier processed. We are unable to refund or replace lost items until the courier has officially declared the package as lost. Please allow time for the courier claims process to take place.

Stolen Items

Please report your stolen shipment immediately to The Bike Shop in order to get a report with the courier processed. We are unable to refund or replace lost items until the courier has officially declared the package as stolen. Please allow time for the courier claims process to take place.

A police report will be required if:

  • The courier has reported the package as delivered

AND

  • The courier has recorded that the signature was acquired upon delivery.
