There were 3 main points that went into The Union. We wanted a rim that was lighter than The Agent, had lower radial stiffness than anything we'd made before, and gained a dramatic increase in impact resistance. With our new philosophy on layup design and these key points, we were able to achieve something truly impressive. Ratchet LN is the entry level Ratchet System of DT Swiss and is therefore used in the lower price products. The outstanding reliability and adaptability of the Ratchet LN now replaces the pawl freehub system.

Ratchet freehub bodies have a gloss finish and don't have a seal, as this is fixed on the hub shell. The Ratchet System was the first of this type for DT Swiss; used in the mid-range products like the 350 hubs.

The DT standard brass nipples are perfect for any wheel building project. Available with or withour DT Pro Lock®.
